Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation Donates $2,500 to the Center for Wildlife

Home Blog Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation Donates $2,500 to the Center for Wildlife

The Newburyport Charitable Foundation has donated $2,500 to the Center for Wildlife located in Cape Neddick, Maine. The funds will be instrumental for the design, permitting, and construction of state-of-the-art wildlife healing enclosures to replace the decades old and outdated existing enclosures on the former York Water District property, and completely restore their former and leased property back to a natural habitat. These enclosures are the last step that an injured or orphaned wild animal will need in order to return back to the wild.

“The Center for Wildlife plays a crucial role in the conservation and protection of species and ecosystems,” said Bank President John Burcke. “Habitat restoration is just one important aspect of what they do. From conservation of endangered species, to research and education, and advocacy and awareness, the work the Center does reminds us about the importance of the relationship between humans and the natural world.”
