Newburyport, MA – The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $5,000 to help support the Newburyport Literary Festival. This event will take place April 26-28, 2024. Local historians Bethany Groff Dorau, Dyke Henderson, and Ghlee Woodworth will be in conversation, moderated by former Newburyport Daily News Editor, Richard Lodge. It will be an evening celebrating the community, including past and present perspectives, historical milestones, anecdotes, musings, and plenty of discussion.
The Newburyport Literary Festival is composed of a vibrant community of readers and writers who come together each year to bask in the love of reading. A celebration of literature, from fiction to poetry to non-fiction and biography, the festival features author readings, panel discussions, and book signings held in venues across historic Newburyport, Massachusetts.
“The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation is so pleased to support the Newburyport Literary Festival,” said Lloyd L. Hamm, Newburyport Bank President & CEO. “This Festival puts a focus on the beauty of literature, and specifically related to our community. It’s a wonderful event for those both young and old to come, listen, and learn. It benefits all of us and we’re proud to support it.”
